Mr. Miller brings The National Geographic School Bee to Rippowam!  The Bee is held in more than 11,000 schools across the country.  The purpose is to get students curious about the world around them and to increase their knowledge through competition and fun.  The national winner receives a free trip and a $50,000 scholarship.  Here at Rippowam IB Worldschool we began the competition by having students compete among each other by grade.  Flavio Pizarro was the representative for sixth grade, Arjun Anand for the seventh, and Siddharth Kumar for the eight.  These three then competed for the school championship.  The winner was Arjun Anand.  He will represent the school in a state qualifying round.
